Classes At Soar Athletics

Soar Athletics offers instruction 5 days a week! We have classes available in Silks, Lyra, Hammock, & Aerial Yoga!

Silks

Aerial silks are a combination of dance, gymnastics, and circus arts. It is a performance that requires lots of strength and stability by focusing on using your core and upper body. Benefits include strengthening and toning muscles, improving balance and posture, improving core strength, and increase in flexibility.

Lyra

Lyra classes, or aerial hoop, consist of acrobatic training with a suspended metal hoop. All classes focus on building strength, flexibility, and body control. Beginners will learn how to enter the hoop with basic poses, while intermediate and advanced students will learn more complicated poses with the addition of spinning, control drops, and slides.

Hammock

Aerial hammock, or sling, includes dynamic movement inside of a hammock while suspended in the air. Classes focus on building strength, flexibility, and body control. Beginners learn how to mount the hammock as well as how to get into basic poses, while intermediate and advanced students learn advanced poses, spinning, drops, and slides.

Trapeze

A gymnastic or acrobatic apparatus consisting of a short horizontal bar suspended by two ropes. Trapeze acts may be static, spinning, swinging, or flying, and may be performed solo, double, triple, or as a group act.

Tumbling

Tumbling, also known as power tumbling is an acrobatic sporting discipline that combines some of the skills of artistic gymnastics on the floor. Students will learn a variety of skills, from beginner to advanced, such as somersaults, handstands, cartwheels, front & back walk overs etc.

Circus Fit

Circus Fit is a workout class with an emphasis on Functional Fitness and Flexibility. This is a high intensity class, however you do not need any circus/ aerial experience to participate. We often utilize circus apparatuses in place of traditional gym equipment. You can expect lots of bodyweight exercises, modifications for different levels, and a great stretch!

Fit&Flex

Join us for our new Fit&Flex class! This exciting class is designed for beginners to advanced individuals who are eager to enhance their strength and flexibility. Throughout the class, we will work on body weight techniques to build strength as well as improving flexibility and mobility. Each student works at their own level as modifications will be provided. Aerial silks and aerial hammocks will also be used to help enhance our skills. No experience is needed to attend, we are open to all levels!
